- Description
- This is for information purposes only. The Centers for Disease for Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to award a sole source purchase order to The Emory Conference Center, Atlanta, GA. The conference is scheduled for a later date; however funds must be allocated now for pre-conference planning purposes. Centers for Disease Control will provide partial funding for this international conference on health and human rights. In collaboration with the World Health Organization, CARE USA, and the Carter Center Human Rights Office @ Emory University. The Emory Conference Center will be providing the facilitators, conference space and a portion of the funding for their conference. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the anticipated award date is on or about August 25, 2004. CDC reserves the right to have a staff member serve as an active participant on the meeting planning committee and to approve or reject content of the full agenda, press events, promotional material, (including press releases), speaker and reports or proceedings resulting from the meeting. CDC also reserves the right to terminate this co-sponsorship if it does not concur with the final agenda. The solicitation number for this acquisition is 2004-Q-01611; all inquires regarding the acquisition will need to be directed to Dorothy Reed Penix @ dreedpenix@cdc.gov, or (770)488-2706. This action is pursuant to 41 USC 253(1) and under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The requirement will be procured as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12.102(c) under the test program. All responsible sources that can meet the above requirement may submit a quote, which will be considered by the Agency. The Central Contracting Registry is a central repository of all Contractors who wish to do business with the Federal Government. All vendors who wish to bid on the requirement MUST be registered and validated in the CCR prior to award of this Simplified Acquisition. Vendor who submit a quotation are showing that they are registered or plan to do so. Vendors who are not registered will not be considered for award.
