- Description
- The US Army Research, Development and Engineering Command, at Picatinny Arsenal New Jersey is conducting a Market Survey to identify potential vendors to provide a commercially available Environmental Conditioning /Test Chambers to be used by the Proto Type Fuze Development Center. The following are the general requirements for the items: Quantity of Two (2) air-cooled temperature test chambers, one of which should have a humidity control system. Internal constructional material should be stainless steel. Temperature range +350?F to -90?F. The cooling\Heating at +75?F ambient temperature should be as follows:- Cooling a 50 lb aluminum block in 50 minutes from +160?F to -85?F. The Heating for the same block of 50 lbs should be from -40?F to +185?F in 40 minutes. The unit with the Humidity control system should have a range of 10 percent to 98 percent RH, with a humidity uniformity of ? 1.00percent RH. Both chambers should be fitted with electronic (preferably digital) control panel systems, including MS Windows? based or compatible programming. Control panels shall include provisions for connecting and communicating through industry standard network connections. Anyone interested in submitting a capabilities statement for supplying these two (2) environmental conditioning/test chambers must submit clear and concise information covering the following: earliest delivery schedule for the equipment, installation information, pertinent catalogue and/or brochure information of the equipment, warranty information, company capabilities including knowledge and capacity to provide training on equipment and a concurrent maintenance agreement. The Vendor must provide at least four (4) hours of training to Picatinny engineers regarding the Operation of the environmental chambers and related software. The vendor should also provide a maintenance agreement with the government for the first year on as required basis. In addition, every submission of capabilities must address an extensive body of knowledge and experience with the design & manufacturing of Environmental conditioning systems. Vendor to provide operational manuals for all purchased equipment.
