The solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov Website on or about August 30, 2004. TELEPHONE REQUESTS FOR THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL INQUIRIES REGARDING THE SOLICITATION UNTIL IT HAS BEEN POSTED. The National Park Service (NPS) in cooperation with the Chesapeake Bay Program has created the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network, a partnership system of national parks, state parks, refuges, museums, historoic communities and water trails throughout the Bay Watershed. To further capabilities of the Gateways Network, National Park Service is exploring the development and marketing of products that feature the cultural, historical and natural themes of the Chesapeake Bay region. National Park Service is soliciting for a firm-fixed price contract. The contractor will develop a set of specific uniform mapping standards for Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network (CBGN) mapped products. The standards will be detailed with clear graphics examples and concise written directions. Standards wil be established for two primary products: (1) water trail maps for use in water trail maps/guides and (2) maps for use in water trail orientation signage at water trail access points. Details regarding specific requirements will be provided in Solicitation Q4250040126. Prospective offerers desiring to do business with the National Park Service are requested to register at the National Business Center. Federal Acquistion Regulations (FAR) 2001-16 requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database(http://www.ccr.gov) prior to any award. NAICS: 541613
