- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, NMFS, Office of Science and Technology requires that the contractor to analyze Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation Act as a single source for Insurance coverage and Vessel Liability for Observer Programs. The objective of this work is to perform comprehensive cost analyses on the provisions of the Longshore and Harbor Workers Compensation (LHWC) coverage to fisheries observers, determine the reduction, if any, in cost of using the proposed insurance and liability coverage versus the current practice of carrying multiple and possibly redundant insurance coverage policies. This analysis shall be sufficiently robust to meet the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in the event this is a requirement for the proposed legislation. Responsible sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered by NOAA. Responses must be received within 15 days of the posting of this notice.
