- PROJECT TITLE: Fitness Center (FITCENT) LOCATION: Hill Air Force Base, Utah JOB DESCRIPTION: The work consists of the design and construction of a new 2-story, 6,000 SM (64,583 SF) physical fitness center with health and wellness center. The facility is required to support combat readiness and improve the physical fitness of acti ve duty and reserve personnel. Facility includes sport courts, racquetball courts, fitness areas, group exercise areas, a Health and Wellness Center, locker rooms, and associated functions Typical for this type of facility. The facility is located southe ast of the Hess Fitness Center, south of the bubble fitness facility, and north of 11th Street. Four option items are included: 1) indoor elevated running track; 2) indoor climbing wall; 3) 11th Street running track POV turn-out, and; 4) outdoor lighting f or the outdoor track. Demolition includes the existing running track located about the bubble fitness facility. The facility shall be of permanent construction, have a standing seam metal roof, and shall be architecturally compatible with the Hill AFB Ar chitectural Standards. All electronic systems designed and installed must be Year-2000 and beyond compliant. The project includes development of design deliverables for review (2 to 3 submittal tracks plus back-check processes), sustainable design using LEEDs rating system (Green Building Council), anti-terrorism/force protection (will be met by compliance with the RFP requirements), design deliverables for demolition and construction, grading, running track, offices, relocation/protection of utilities, u tility service connections and runs, fire-protection/life safety systems, handicapped accessible, elevator, elevated running track, EMCS, HVAC, all necessary conduits and cabling (including interior COMM cabling), plumbing, mechanical systems, interior uti lities, interior/exterior finishes, exterior security lighting, parking (POV), accesses around the structure, and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield safe, complete, and useable facilities for their intended use. Estimated Cost Range i s between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 This Procurement will be conducted under FSC CODE: Y199, SIC CODE: 1542, NAICS Code: 236220. The size standard for this code is $28,500,000. TYPE OF AWARD: This RFP is Unrestricted. All PROPOSALS will be due on or about 05 OCT 2004, 3:00 pm. This is a design/build project; the offeror chosen will complete the design and construct the facility. The acquisition method is negotiated procurement . A technical and price proposal will be required. Evaluation by the Government will result in selection of a firm that represents the best value to the Government. It is important that yo u first go to this web site and under contracting division home page, click on the advertised solicitation you are interested in. Go to plan holders registration. This will require you to establish a user name and password. Keep the user name and passwo rd and share it with anyone else in your organization that is responsible for registering your firm on plan holders lists. With this system you only have to do the full registration one time. This will take you to the next page, then from there click on the file name and download. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by the agency.
