Description

Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the National Park Service in Yorktown, VA intends to enter into negotiations with the county of York, VA on a SOLE SOURCE non-competitive basis for the purchase and programming of Astro Digital Mobile Radios. York County is the led agency in developing the regional radio system. Colonial National Historical Park is concurrent jurisdiction with York County, the City Of Willimasburg, VA and James City County, VA. The park law enforcement officers are required to maintain communication with these agencies. York County is the only source who can provide the radios programmed with the required frequencies. York County meets the criteria set forth for the unique and critical needs of the National PArk Service. Therefore in accordance with authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302.1, the government intends to enter into negotiations with York County, VA within 30 days after publication of this notice. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
