- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is Q8304040649 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 01-24, June 18, 2004. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. The North American Standard Industrial Classifications System Code is 332420 and the small business size is 500 employees. The requirement is to Furnish and Deliver FOB Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Hawaii National Park, Hawaii within 60 days after award the following items: 1) 19 each - 288-gallon capacity Propane Tanks: 2) 26 each - Meter Sets w/2ND Stage: 3) 3000 feet - 1 inch Non-Metallic Gas Piping: 4) 3000 feet - Flag Ribbon/Tracing Tape: 5) 20 each - 1 inch Plastic Tees: 6) 45 each - 1 inch PlastoMet Risers or approved equal. The following FAR provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: Provisions at 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items); 52.212-2 (Evaluation-Commercial Items); 52.213-3 (Offeror's Representations and Certifications/Commercial Items) which includes the following clauses: 52.203-6, Alt. 1, 52.222-19, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52.225-13 and 52.232-34. The full text of FAR clauses can be found online at: http://arnet.gov/far. Submit quotations to the attention of Ms. Ellen Cullen by mail to NPS, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, P.O. Box 52, Hawaii National Park, HI 96718 or fax to (808) 985-6107. A completed copy of FAR 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications/Commercial Items) must be included with the quotation. The government will evaluate the quotations based on delivery date and price. Price is the most important. The due date and time for receipt of quotations is August 30, 2004. In order to download a copy of the solicitation, vendors will be asked to register their company with the electronic commerce website. Be prepared with your company's DUNS number, available form Dun & Bradstreet at 888-546-0024, and your Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN). All vendors should pre-register to save time, by logging onto the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at the Internet site at www.ccr.gov. Firms must be registered at CCR in order to be considered for award.
