- Description
- NAICS Code: 541620 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA), Radiation Protection Division (RPD) intends to award a sole source fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars (WWICS) in Washington, DC. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide a mechanism for public and private sector sharing of emerging trends in the field of radiation protection. Under this Purchase Order, WWICS shall provide a forum series focusing on technologies that may potentially impact the field of radiation protection, including: a) arrangements for four speakers for seminar events related to radiation protection; b) video taping of each seminar and posting of video presentations to the Internet; and c) summary reports on industrial ecology and genomics projects . It has been determined that WWICS is the only vendor uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement due to its capabilities as a non-partisan institution to identify emerging issues with potential public policy impacts and to improve long-term planning in the public sector under its foresight and governance project as they relate to RPD's goals. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 541620. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received by the closing date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed Purchase Order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Jami Rodgers via e-mail at rodgers.jami@epa.gov.
