Description
The project consists of construction of a new facility to be known as the Main Post Office in Grove, OK 74344-9998. The site location is Shundai Road in Grove. The project is a new ?stick and brick? building with approximately 8,850 sf with asphalt shingles, concrete parking lot, 24? dock, scissors lifts (2), lay-in ceilings, casework, VCT flooring and sealed concrete in accordance with the plans and specifications. Estimated construction cost is $875,000 to $975,000, and construction time is 300 calendar days. Award will be made to the responsible offeror who submits the best combination of Technical Proposal, and Cost Proposal . The primary areas to be used in determining which proposal is most advantageous to the Postal Service are listed below: 1. Past Performance, 2. Supplier Capability, 3. Proposed Project Schedule. Successful offeror must submit their Subcontracting Plan for Small and Minority Owned, and Woman-Owned Business. The contractor are encouraged to subcontract with minority business firms in an amount aggregating not less than 10% and subcontract with woman-owned business firms in an amount not less than 7% of the total value of its subcontracts. Offeror must include documentation from bonding agent indicating offeror?s capability at time offer is due. The successful contractor will be required to provide 100% Performance and 100% Payment Bonds within forty-eight (48) hours after notification of award. Offers will be received in this office, prior to, but not later than 3:30 p.m. on September 9, 2004. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on August 17, 2004 at a cost of $50.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE) payable by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to GH2 Grallas Architects, 320 South Boston, Suite 1400, Tulsa, OK 75104-4703, Telephone: 918/587-6153. Checks or money orders must be made payable to GH2 GRALLA ARCHITECTS. Since this is a request for proposals, offers will not be publicly opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors, the amount of any one offer, or relative standing of offeror will not be disclosed. Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and any questions and/or information regarding this solicitation may be obtained by calling Kevin Gaughan, Project Manager at 214/819-8946. Offerors are encouraged to submit their proposal by one of the methods offered by the U.S. Postal Service (First Class, Priority Mail, or Express Mail.
