Description
MODIFICATION 4: This modification is to provide the following information to interested vendors: The loss history dating back to January 2002 is posted on FEDBIZOPPS.gov, Modification 3. Here is the loss history for 1998 thru 2001. 1998-1999 7 losses $9,044.00 1999-2000 7 losses $15,510.00 2000-2001 7 losses $9,044.00 The Bureau of Overseas Building Operations has extensive programs and divisions functioning specifically for Safety, Health and Environmental Management and Fire issues at each embassy. Diplomatic Security also is very involved in the operations at each embassy along with Marine security units assigned to each embassy. Average value of Fine Arts Per Shipment: 50% $50,000 - $100,000 30% $100,000-$500,000 10% $500,000-$1,000,000 10% $1,000,000-$5,000,000 A fine arts broker does the shipping. We use Fine Arts brokers, especially Masterpiece International which is used exclusively by the National Gallery of Art. The U.S. Department of State (DOS) Office of Logistics Management, on behalf of the Office of Overseas Building Operations, Operations Management, Division of Art in Embassies anticipates awarding a 12 month, All Risk (excluding War and Terrorism coverage) insurance contract. The contract shall insure $50,000,000 worth of art, properties or items displayed at (and in transit to and from) Department of State properties worldwide. The art, properties or items insured under this contract shall be insured at all times from the commencement date of the contract until expiration. This requirement will be a full and open competition with a ten percent evaluation preference going to all small disadvantaged businesses in accordance with FAR Clause 52.219-23. This is not a request for proposal. The Government intends to release the Request for Proposal on or about July 22, 2004 as a modification to this Synopsis.
