Description
CONTACT Barbara Johns,Logistics Management Specialist,732-532-3032. Title: GUADRDRAIL Reporting Shelter CECOM/ GUADRAIL weapon system teams plans to enter into an agreement for support of the GUARDRAIL reporting shelter equipment listed in the attac hment. The solicitation will be for acquisition of spare parts, technical support and for repair of existing equipment on a repair and return basis. The contractor is asked to consider support to these components for a period of at least 5 years. The con tract will be a Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for 1 year with 4 option years. The contractor will be asked to provide guidance on long-term support and replacement of obsolete parts to maintain support for the life of the GUARDRA IL system, which is expected to be until 2017. If there are issues of obsolescence the contract will perform feasibility studies to make suggestions for improved support. The contractor may be required to travel to the field sites to ensure compatibility w ith the weapon system. The contractor must insure that all items produced, repaired or replaced with form fit and function replacements are compatible with the GUARDRAIL systems. All interested parties considering submission in support of this request for technical support should submit a white paper no greater than 10 pages in length and should include at a minimum the following information: (1) Provide evidence of the contractors knowledge and work performed in support of the GUARDRAIL weapons system in general and knowledge of the specific sub-systems called out in the Statement of Work. 2) Provide evidence of past performance on similar projects in support of the requested work. This documentation may be mailed to US Army, Commander CECOM, AMSEL-LC-IEWS-R-GR, Building 1201W, Fort, Monmouth, NJ 07703-5211 to the attention of Barbara Johns. Documentation may also be sent to electronic address barbara.johns@us.army.mil. To be considered as part of the market research database, documentation should be received no later than 30 September, 2004.
