QUESTIONS/ANSWERS REGARDING SOLICITATION D05208001 Q1: Who is the incumbent contractor? A1: Birmbaum Interpreter Service (BIS) Q2: What hourly rate is currently paid by DLA-DSS? A2: The hourly rate varies depending on if you are talking about our full-time interpreter, our part-time interpreters, or our ad hoc interpreters. The cost of ad hoc services vary depending on when the services are requested. Q3: Do you provide free parking permit to the interpreters? A3: Yes Q4: How many copies of the Technical and Pricing of the proposal do you need? A4: One Q5: Will you accept faxed proposal? A5: Yes Q6: Our interpreters meet the requirements for security clearance. Would you be able to provide it for them? A6: No, we do not provide security clearances. Q7: We understand that the part-time interpreters are required to work from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. However, does this include 30 minutes of paid or unpaid lunch? A7: It includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch period Q8: In Section C.3.4, it is mentioned that no special rates could be used in requests placed under two business days? notice. Is there any flexibility in changing that? A8: Yes - industry standard negotiable Q9: In Section C.13, regarding Ad Hoc requests, it is stated that the contractor(s) may be reimbursed for the actual duration of the assignment rather than the estimated duration called in by the COR or part-time interpreters when coordinating and scheduling the requests. Is there any flexibility in changing that as well? A9: Yes - industry standard negotiable Q10: In Section C.14, it is mentioned that no assignments may be reimbursed if canceled within 24 hours. Is there any flexibility in changing this to two full business days, as this is the industry standard? A10: Yes - industry standard negotiable
