Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, intends to enter into a single source contract with Microbiology International, Frederick, Maryland. This contract is to procure a system consisting of the following: WASP2 Spiral Plater (per GSA Contract #GS-24F-0013J) which will replace the current Government-owned Autoplate 4000, Controlled Vacuum Source, ProtoCOL Hi Resolution External Camera with firewire cable, and ProtoCOL Darkroom which will be integrated with the Government-owned ProtoCOL SR Colony Counter. This system will upgrade the equipment currently being used in the studies of microbial communities of weed rhizospheres. The ProtoCOL SR Software has presets which do not require further modification for the WASP Spiral Plater built in, avoiding the manual entry of settings required by any other spiral plating device. The ProtoCOL Darkroom and high resolution add-on camera are the only devices compatible with the Government-owned ProtoCOL SR Colony Counter and Color Analysis Software without modification. *Please FAX a Qualification Statement by Close of Business September 3, 2004, to the attention of Lee Shea at 970/492-7031 if interested in this procurement.
