- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS) has a requirement for certain spare parts for NOAA Weather Radio (NWR) Transmitters manufactured by International Radio and Electronics Corporation (IREC) of Elkhart, Indiana. Specifically, the parts to be acquired are 2 each WP1000 Transmitter (IREC Part Number 200734-FRU), 1 each WR300 RTC (IREC Part Number 200192-FRU), 2 each WR1000 RTC (IREC Part Number 200193-FRU), 30 each Metering and Control Board (IREC Part Number 901054-1), 39 each WR1000 Power Amp Assembly (IREC Part Number 200814-FRU), 9 each Hi Power Antenna Relay Switch/Cable (IREC Part Number 200863-FRU), 5 each WR300 Front Panel (IREC Part Number 200575-FRU), 10 each WR Reflectometer (N) Assembly (IREC Part Number 200817-FRU), and 30 each Phone Line Surge Protector (IREC Part Number 200820-FRU). Delivery shall be made F.O.B. Destination to a facility located in Scottsville, New York within 60 days after award. This acquisition will be accomplished using simplified acquisition procedures. NOAA intends to negotiate this acquisition on a sole source basis with IREC because IREC is the sole manufacturer of these parts, and NOAA does not possess drawings of these parts which can be used for reprocurement purposes. Although NOAA expects that only IREC can provide the required parts, all responsible sources may respond to this notice by submitting a quotation not later than September 16, 2004 which shall be considered by NOAA. A determination by NOAA not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of NOAA. See Note 26.
