Description

The Western Regional Contracting Office at Dublin, California, intents to negotiate a sole source procurement for the following less lethal munitions for the use of the Federal Correctional Institution located in Herlong, California: (1) ALST429 T-429 Tactical Blast Stun Munition, 50 EA; (2) ALSD460 D-460 Tactical Blast Strip, 20 EA; (3) ALSD471 T-471 Magnum Ultra Flash Stun Munition, 60 EA; (4) ALS3705 Interlocking Rubber Baton Projectile - 37 mm, 50 EA; (5) ALS3760 Hornets Nest, .60 cal., 37 mm, 100 EA; (6) ALSG972 Continuous Discharge, White Smoke Grenade, 40 EA; (7) ALS7797 Short Range, White Smoke Projectile, 37 mm, 20 EA; (8) ALSG273 Tri-Action, Smoke Grenade, CS, 75 EA; (9) ALSG274 Handball Grenade, CS, 50 EA; (10) ALSG272 Continuous Discharge, Smoke Grenade, 75 EA; (11) ALS7727 Short Range, CS Projectile, 37 mm, 75 EA; (12) ALS6273 OC Expulsion Grenade, 100 EA; (13) ALSG101 Hornets Nest Sting Grenade, 75 EA; (14) ALSOC92 Top Cop Riot Control, 50 EA; (15) ALSHDPF Hand Deployed Parachute Flares, 10 EA; (16) ALS1208 Bore Thunder, 40 EA; (17) ALS1204 Hornets Nest (20 ball), 40 EA; (18) ALS1203 Tri-Dent (triple ball), 40 EA; (19) ALS1202 Rubber Fin Rocket, 40 EA; (20) ALS1212 Pen-Prevent, 40 EA; (21) ALSOC21 MK-21, 20 EA. The Government intents to contract this procurement with A.L.S. Technologies of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, the manufacturer of these products. This is a Simplified Acquisition with an estimated value of less than $50,000. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to negotiate and award, subject to availability of funds, with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106. Any responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals, bids or quotes. Interested firms or individuals may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by submitting in writing their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, and a statement regarding capability to provide the specified procurement. Interested firms will be considered only if they respond with clear and convincing documentation that they are capable of meeting or exceeding the requirements stated herein at a cost significantly more advantageous than the contractor named. All responses received within seven calendar days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
