Description
The Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Apollo Telemedicine Inc. of Falls Church VA to upgrade the existing Apollo Telepathology equipment located at various sites throughout VISN12. This procurement is being conducted in accordance FAR 6.302 - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. NAICS 339112. The proposed imaging upgrade will include the Apollo ASAP Imaging video streaming device and software, Apollo Telepathology Microscope Camera package, and C-mount lens coupler for the existing microscopes at the transmitting workstations. The purpose of the upgrade is to improve the full motion image quality from the transmitting VA telepathology workstation to the consulting VA workstation and increase the full motion image resolution from the existing 355 x 244 x 16 bits to 704 x 480 x 32 bits. The Apollo ASAP Imaging upgrade will enable remote access with live streaming images from a microscope to authorized and qualified PC's on a TCP/IP network. Compatibility with existing equipment is required. Based upon the above, to the best of our knowledge, Apollo Telemedicine Inc. is the only vendor who has the capability of meeting these requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by the response date indicated. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Information can be sent to the Contracting Officer, VA e-mail to diane.Brazale@med.va.gov or via fax to (414) 902-5440. Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the GLAC will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Apollo Telemedicine Inc.
