Description

DESC: The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision to render complete Building Cleaning & Maintenance Services at the VA Medical Center Building, 1ST floor, 4th to 9th floor (2nd, 3rd shift & 1st shift weekends) including VA District Counsel Building, VA Outpatient Clinic Building (OPA), VA Nursing Home Care Unit Building (VA NHCU), located at Calle Casia, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00921, Mayaguez Outpatient Clinic (MOPC) located at Avenida De Hostos State Road #2, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico 00680 and Ponce Outpatient Clinic (POPC) located at Ave. Santiago de los Caballeros, Ponce, Puerto Rico 00731. Contract solicitation documents, clauses and provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 24 date July 19, 2004. This action is 100% set aside for small business. Offers are solicited only from small business concerns expressly certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program and which meet the criteria at the time of submission of offer in accordance with FAR 52.219-18 NOTIFICATION OF COMPETITION LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) CONCERNS (JUNE 1999). This solicitation was set aside to U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION 8 (a) eligible firms under Puerto Rico Region only. All offers shall be 8 (a) certified by SBA. The applicable NAIC is 561720 and the small business size standard is $12.0 Million. Availability of this solicitation will be limited for viewing and downloading, free of charge via http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/ on August 23, 2004 and the due date to submit the offers for this proposal is on September 21, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. America Puerto Rico_Time. Term of Contract: the period of performance shall begin on January 1, 2005 or the date of contract award whichever is later and continue through September 30, 2005. The contract includes four 12-month options, which the Government may (or may not) exercise on a unilateral basis. Type of Contract: VA anticipates award of a Firm-Fixed Price Performance Based contract based on the contents of this RFP solicitation. All contractual and technical questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing, not later than 15 calendar days after since the solicitation will be posted in Business Opportunity System. All questions may be faxed to (787) 781-8721 attention to Mr. Rey F. Clemente, Contract Specialist. No telephone or e-mail questions will be accepted. All questions submitted after the established date since the solicitation was posted, won?t be accepted. Notification of any postponements and any amendments to this solicitation will only be posted on the aforementioned website. It is the sole responsibility of the offeror to continually view the aforementioned website for any amendments made to the solicitation. Detailed information will be provided in the solicitation.
