- NAICS Code: 493190 THIS REQUIRMENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED. The Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source procurement to First Federal Corporation, 75 West Watkins Mill Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20878-4021. The purpose of the requirement is to provide CBP with highly secure, environmentally controlled off-site media storage space and media storage management services for the storage, protection, and retrieval of CBP magnetic media and related materials. Because First Federal is the currently providing CBP with off-site media storage, it posses the unique qualification of being collocated with Recovery Point Services, which CBP contracted for disaster recovery workplace, allowing both services to be in the same location. First Federal is located near municipal fire protection services and in a stable geological zone with increased protection against earthquake risks. In addition, First Federal meets the stringent security requirements for the characteristics of the off-site storage facility. In accordance with FAR 6.301 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements?, CBP has determined First Federal to be the only firm capable of satisfying the requirements stated above. This notice is neither a request for proposals nor a solicitation for offers. However, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting all the requirements stated herein may submit written qualifications, which if received within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Interested firms shall provide detailed information outlining their capabilities ? any response failing to provide the aforementioned data will be disregarded. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
