- Description
- Redding Canoe Launch Facility. The work consists of providing handicapped access to the canoe launch area on the Mulberry River. It will include gravel and concrete parking areas, concrete and stone walkways, concrete and rock walls, and concrete and rock landing and stairways. The schedule of items will include the following pay items: demolition, demolition of 6 trees, 800 CY designated backfill, 250 tons crushed aggregate (Type surface Grade AR Class 7), 0.1 acre seeding and mulching, 300 CY cast-in-place concrete, 5 pre-cast concrete curbs, 1000 SF cut stone, 3200 SF flagstone, 3300 SF field stone, 30 LF rock placement, and mobilization. If high water prevents the Contractor from working on the retaining wall or landing, the Contracting Officer may suspend that portion of the project until the river is low enough to allow the construction to proceed. The estimated range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. However, there is only $200,000 available for award of this project. If all bids are higher than the funds available, the Government will not make an award. The project is located on the Ozark-St. Francis National Forests, Pleasant Hills Ranger District, Franklin County, Arkansas. The NAICS code is 237990 and the size standard is $28.5 Million. The contract time for this project is 120 calendar days. This project is open to large and small businesses. The successful offeror must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration database. A 20% bid bond guarantee is required. Successful contractor will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price prior to beginning work. The date for a site visit will be listed in Section L of the Solicitation package. This is an Invitation for Bids (Sealed Bid) and should be available for download from this site on or about August 23, 2004.
