Description
AK PRA-DENA 10(20), MILE 1-15 CULVERT REPLACEMENT, Denali National Park and Preserve, Denali Borough, Alaska. THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING CONSIDERED FOR A TOTAL HUBZONE SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. Prime Contractors who are HUBZone small businesses and who intend to submit an offer for this solicitation, MUST submit their information by e-mail to contracts@mail.wfl.fhwa.dot.gov or by fax to 360.619.7932 for receipt by COB on August 30, 2004. (NOTE: Should your HUBZone firm fail to respond by this deadline, you may still submit a bid/offer.) Your submission must include the following: (a) a positive statement of your intention to submit an offer for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (b) your date of HUBZone small business certification; (c) a statement of your bonding capability, including both single and aggregate totals; and (d) a listing of your experience in work of similar type and scope, including contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and the names and phone numbers of points of contact for the contracting entity. This agency will NOT contact respondents for missing data, so it is imperative that you include sufficient detail on all of the above points. A decision on whether this project will be pursued as a HUBZone small business set-aside or on an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in FedBizOpps. THIS WORK CONSISTS OF installing Aluminum culverts ranging from 9.5? to 15? diameter and concrete box culverts of 8? x 8? and 10? x 8?. The project length is 0.067 miles. The work will also include gabion headwalls and the necessary grading, base, and paving associated with the culvert installations. THE PROJECT INCLUDES construction survey and staking; contractor quality control and assurance; construction schedules; 483 LNFT soil erosion control devices; 41 SQYD clearing and grubbing; removal of structures and obstructions including10 headwalls and 7 culverts; 275 CUYD gabions and 110 SQYD revet mattresses; 589 ton of minor crushed aggregate; 137 ton of minor hot asphalt concrete pavement; 75 ton of asphalt tack coat; 42 LNFT 8? x 8?, 60 LNFT 10? x 8? concrete box culverts; 131 LNFT 114? dia., 68 LNFT 126? dia., 68 LNFT 180? dia. culverts and drains; and other smaller items of work. THIS PROJECT IS LOCATED approximately 124 miles South of Fairbanks, Alaska. The estimated PRICE RANGE is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. PRELIMINARY PLANS are in electronic format only and are provided at the time of the issuance of this synopsis. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT?s Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
