Description

Primary Point of Contact for this project is LaVette Buford, 817.886-1082. U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol Station, Eagle Pass, Texas - Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract. Work includes, but is not limited to, construction of a 300 agent Border Patrol Station on a 38.79 acre site consisting of approximately 50,000 S.F. The station is to include office space, administrative space, exercise and lockers, physical plant support and detention space. In addition, the project includes construction of kennels (slab and cages only), fenced areas, vehicle parking, l andscaping, and storm water retention area. The duration of construction is approximately 490 calendar days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Estimated Price Range for the project is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAISC) code applicable to this project is 236220, which corresponds to SIC 1542. The Small Business Size Standard is $28.5 Million. UNRESTRICTED Solicitation Number W9126G-04-B-0018 for this project is anticipated to be issued on o r about September 7, 2004, with bids due on or about October 6, 2004 (unless otherwise stated in the solicitation). HUBZone price evaluation preference will be applied to all qualified HUBZone small business concerns, provided that the HUBZone concern has not waived their evaluation preference and their bid is not more than 10% above the lowest large business concerns price. Bids from Large business firms must comply with FAR Clause 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for submission of a Subcontracting Pla n. The Fort Worth District goals (expressed as a percentage of the contractors total planned subcontract amount) are as follows: Small Business 57.2%; Small Disadvantaged Business 10.0%; Women-Owned Small Business 10.0%; HUBZone Small Business 3.0%, and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 3.0%. The solicitation plans and specifications will be placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided at no charge. Plans and specification will not be provided in a hard paper copy format unless the G overnment determines that it is necessary. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to the solicitation. It is therefore the Contractors responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to the solicitation. Contractors may view and/or download the solicitation and all amendments from the Internet address after solicitation issuance at the following address: http://ebs.swf.usace.army.mil. All bidders are encouraged to vis it the Armys Single Face to Industry Website at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi to view other business opportunities. Bidders shall register themselves on the Internet to receive a copy of this solicitation CD-ROM.
