- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Site Visit scheduled for 25 August 2004 at 1:00 PM . Point of contact for site visit arrangements is Billy Calvert 253-966-1733. BASIC SERVICES. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, Equipment, and labor necessary to provide one time cleaning services to strip, seal, and wax tiled floors, clean, and sanitize all bathrooms, and shampoo existing carpeting at buildings listed in paragraph 1.6 at Fort Lewis, WA. Total work package consist of approximately 617,080 square feet. All work shall comply with Government and commercial standards. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Each building consist of three floors, these areas may be Vinyl Composite Tile flooring (VCT), Ceramic block, Ceramic Tile, or Carpeting. FURNITURE: All rooms have furnishings that shall be moved and appropriately re-positioned after floor cleaning operations. FLOOR STRIP, SEAL, AND WAX: All waxable floors shall be stripped, sealed, and waxed and have a uniform glossy appearance. A uniform glossy appearance is free of scuffmarks, streaks, heel marks, wax build-up, and other stains and discoloration. A non-sk id wax is required. Any items or furniture moved to necessitate cleaning shall be returned to its original position. CARPET CLEANING: All existing carpets shall be cleaned in accordance with standard commercial practices. After shampooing, the carpeted area shall be uniform in appearance and reasonably free of stains and discoloration. All cove base trim shall be free o f cleaning solutions. Any items moved to clean carpets shall be returned to their original location. No cleaning will be required on newly installed carpeting. 1.5 BATHROOMS. Bathrooms shall be cleaned, disinfected, and sanitized in accordance with industry standards. All fixtures shall be thoroughly cleaned inside and out. Showers shall be free of residual soap scum, dirt, debris, and mold. Ceiling exhaust fans shall be cleaned and free of dust, and debris. 1.6 WORK SCHEDULE: Work may commence after receiving telephonic notification to proceed as each building becomes available for cleaning by Billy Calvert (253) 966-1733.
