Description

THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO THE PREVIOUS NOTICE PUBLISHED ON 23 AUGUST 2004. THE PREVIOUS NOTICE IS REPLACED IN ITS ENTIRETY WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Fed eral Acquisition Regulation (FAR 12.6). This notice is released to announce a U.S. ARMY Corps of Engineers District, Mobile requirement for a Grounds Maintenance service contract. The work to be performed under this contract will be for the Southeast Regi onal Medical Command Facility, Buildings 40707 and 40709, 40707 40th Street, Fort Gordon, Georgia. It will include grass mowing, edging, trimming and cleanup. The Request for Proposal is for a firm-fixed price service contract to be competed under solicit ation W91278-04-T-0087. The basic contract is estimated to commence on 15 September 2004 through 14 September 2005 with four one-year option performance periods. A site visit is highly recommended. This action is set aside 100% for Small Business concer ns under NAICS code 561730, size standard $6 million. Estimated price range of this project is under $100,000. Bid documents are available on or about 23 August 2004 on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil with a bid opening date of 07 September 2004. Mrs. Jacalyn M. NOTE: Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004), therefore you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS numbered from Dun & Bradstreet. Immediate registra tion is recommended in order to be eligible for timely award. Bidders, subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms are required to self-register their firm or office on the Internet. Registration instructions are available on the Internet at http://www.sam.usace.army.mil and then click on contract bids. Neither telephonic, mailed, nor fax requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of the information on the mailing list. Registration must include the firm's physical address, telephone, a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registrat ion should be completed one week prior to the issue date. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is therefore the contractors' responsibility to check the Internet address listed above daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by fax or by posting for download to the aforementioned web page. The plans and specifications will be issued on the Internet only and will be provided free of charge. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed-paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government's best interest. For this job, a small business is defined as having average annual receipts of less than $6,000,000.00 for the past three years.
