Description
Expressions of Interest and Industry Comments are being solicited by Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for Request for Proposal RFP-C-RE4042/JJP, Anacostia Light Rail Station and Line. This is a one phase, competitive, negotiated, "best value" procurement. An award will be made to the proposer whose offer is judged based on an assessment of the evaluation criteria to be most advantageous to WMATA based on technical merit and price ("best value"); and that WMATA deems to be responsibile. The Anacostia Light Rail Transit project includes final design, construction, vehicle test coordination, and startup of a new light rail line. The scope of work includes: all civil, structural, trackwork, signal, architectural (Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Building), station stops, landscaping, erosion and sediment control, overhead catenary system, traction power supply, mechanical and electrical, utility relocation, stray current monitoring and mitigation, pavements and walkways, existing facility restoration, fencing, security, and temporary construction. Your comments should be addressed by e-mail to the same individual. Provide the firm name, address, contact person?s name and e-mail address, if available. A specification will then be mailed. Comments must be received no later than September 10, 2004. The RFP will be released on or about (o/a) September 20, 2004 with proposals due o/a November 1, 2004. To qualify for award, proposers must be registered with WMATA's Vendors Registration System (VRS) by visiting our website at http://vrs.wmata.com.
