Description
This acquisition for the 3 Major Compontents only, of the Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen (SPEK) Kit; Tray Ration Heater (TRH) with Babington Burner, Field Sanition Sink with Burner , and TRH Maintance Kit. The SPEK was created to satisfy the Air Force's requirement for a rapidly deployable, temporary kitchen for use in remote and undeveloped locations. This item will not be stocked. All orders will be issued as FOB Destination. CONUS order will be shipped DVD. OCONUS orders will be shipped to a Depot in order to be forwarded to the overseas location. The SPEK is a complete food service facility capable of providing hot meals to 300 personnel at a time. It was created to satisfy the Air Force?s requirement for rapidly deployable, temporary kitchen for use in remote and undeveloped locations. The SPEK can be deployed by air or ground transportation. Everything but fuel, water and food is packed onto a single air cargo pallet. The entire SPEK can be set up by eight airmen in less than two hours and requires a four-person crew to operate the equipment and serve the food. Testing has shown the SPEK to exceed the standard of feeding Unitized Group Rations to 300 airmen twice a day in two hours.
