Description

The Consolidated Acquisition Service, VISN 6, Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources to provide coated Extracorporeal Circuits for cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. Circuits should be coated with an amphiphilic, biopassive polymer coating that reduces protein denaturation and platelet adhesion and is non-reactive with blood components. Interested parties should submit a price quote for these items for an estimated annual quantity of 250 each to Jeff Benton, Contracting Officer, VA Medical Center, 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 not later than 4:30pm local time September 8, 2004. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with a sole source negotiation with Terumo Medical Corporation, Inc., the only known source for this item.
