Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Business Center, Logistics Office, VISN 22 Long Beach California, intends to negotiate a sole source consignment agreement contract under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 13.501(a)(2)(I), with Medtronic, for various sizes of Peripheral Vascular Stents for the treatment of cardiovascular disease angioplasty/coronary items to include balloons and Stents for the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90073. Medtronic?s is to provide the following sizes: Racer Over the Wire Biliary Stent System : 5mm x12mm, 6mm x12mm, 7mm x12mm, 5mm x18mm, 6mm x18mm, 7mm x18mm, 5mm x18mm, 6mm x18mm, 7mm x18mm. Aurora Self-Expanding Stent System: (6mm x 20mm), (6mm x 40mm), (7mm x 40mm), (8mm x 40mm), (9mm x 40mm), (10mm x 40mm), (6mm x 80mm), (7mm x 80mm), (8mm x 80mm), (9mm x 80mm), (10mm x 80mm). Assurant Balloon Expandable Stent System: (6mm x30mm), (7mm x30mm), (8mm x30mm), (9mm x30mm), (10mm x30mm), (6mm x40mm), (6mm x40mm), (6mm x40mm), (6mm x40mm), (6mm x40mm), (6mm x60mm), (7mm x60mm), (8mm x60mm), (9mm x60mm), (10mm x60mm). The applicable NAICS code for this solicitation is 339113 with a size standard of 500 employees. The intended contract will be for the period August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005, with two one-year options to renew. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may submit a capability statement, literature and documentation to the Contracting Officer, Sylvia Correa or by Fax (562) 826-8067. All capability statements received in response to this notice will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. The government reserves the right to process this procurement as sole source based on responses received. All responses must be submitted no later than 4:00 PM, August 31, 2004.
