Description
DESCRIPTION: The Air Force Research Laboratory, Rome Research Site (AFRL Rome) intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to BIG SKY LASER TECHNOLOGIES, BOZEMAN, MT 59715. The proposed contract action is for a BRILLIANT B PULSED Nd:YAG LASER SYSTEM WITH FREQUENCY DOUBLER. The pulsed laser system has a repetition frequency of 10 Hz and pulse energy of 850 mJ at a wavelength of 1064nm. It includes an electronic and cooling system, remote box, manual, and accessory package. The SHG Module; Type II doubler is thermally stabilized with wavelength seperation, 400 mJ at 532nm. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within fifteen (15) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Quotes may be faxed to Samuel McDuffey, 315-330-8072. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to the solicitation which shall be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
