- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes as the solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F1013942320100. The solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-13 and DFARS Change Notice 20001213. All responsible sources may submit a written proposal, which will be considered. Facsimile submissions will be accepted. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the solicitation is 333415. [This requirement is RESTRICTED to Mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995]. (3)Three items are requested. They are listed as follows: 1) Trane 100-ton Air cooled Series R cchiller Model # RTAD 100[brand name, or equal] . Chiller cooling capacity equals 371,6 KW. Uses refrigerant R134A and operates on 400V, 50HZ, 3PH power. (Quantity: 1); 2) Trane 25-ton Air cooled Chiller Model # CGAN 250. Chiller cooling capacity equals 70 KW [brand name, or equal]. Uses refrigerant R407c and operates on 400V, 50HZ, 3PH power. Comes complete with low temperature control protection. (Quantity: 3); 3) Trane Air cooled Condensing Unit Model # RAUL400B72E [brand name, or equal]. Cooling Capacity equals 109.1KW.System uses refrigerant R407C and operates on 400V, 50HZ, 3PH power (Quantity: 1). Proposals for items that are ?or equal? must include technical product data for those items. Items must be packed for transport and shipped to the Port in Praia da Vitoria, Terceira, Azores, Portugal. PROPOSAL PREPARATION INSTRUCTIONS: The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price for above items. Delivery charges, if any, must be included in unit price. Provide projected delivery date. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party..
