Description: The Defense Contracting Command - Washington, 5200 Army Pentagon, Washington, DC. initends to negotiate on a sole source basis with the American Council on Education Association, 1 Dupont Circle, N.W., Washington, DC. 20036-1193, for the production and distribution of the Army/American Council on Education Registry; System transcript for Soldiers and Veterans. The period of performance is from 1 Oct 2004 through 30 September 2005 with 4- one year options. See Note 22. Interested parties may identif y their interest and submit their capability statement to respond to this requirement with ten (10) days of this announcement. Offeror shall provide clear and convincing documentation to verify its capabilities in providing the services required under thi s Request for Quotation. The offeror shall be able to evaluate military training and military occupational speciality to determine equivalent college credits gained as a result of those experiences and publishes the credit recommendations in the guide to the evaluation of educational experiences in the armed services. The offeror shall be able to perform this service and demonstrate that this service is accepted or recognized by colleges, universities and the higher education community, also, shall be rec ognized by these colleges and universities as the authority for this evaluation process. The AARTS transccript incldes a record of each soldier's demographic information, a record of the soldier's military training and military occupational speciality exp erience, as well as college level and Department of Defense foreign language test scores. In addition, college credit recommendations for these experiences appear on the transcript.
