Description

This is a Market Survey to locate additional sources for Transducer, NSN 5821-01186-8803, Rosemount Aerospace Inc Part Number 542 BT 1, part of Kiowa Warrio r Helicopter OH-58; Transducers, NSN 6695-01-316-2740, Rosemount Aerospace Inc Part Number 1221H5 and NSN 6695-01-316-2741, Rosemount Aerospace Inc Part Number 542AY8, parts of UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter. The current source for these systems is Rosemount Aerospace Inc., 14300 Judicial Road, Burnsville, MN 55306-4898, Cage Code 59885. Detailed technical data for the manufacture or acceptance of these units is not available from the Army. These items are source-controlled for use on OH-58 and UH-60 helicopt ers by U.S Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) (https://www3.redstone.army.mil:7443/pls/trweb/trwebdba.trweb_home). Listing in AMCOM database (Sector 28) as a qualified source is a vendor requirement for bidding on procurement of source-controlled i tems, including key avionics systems and related items. CECOM, as a sustainment command, is constrained to utilize only qualified sources for such material. Rosemount Aerospace Inc., Burnsville, MN 55306-4898 is currently listed as source-controlled vendo r. Vendors interested in establishing source-controlled status may contact AMCOM to apply. The AMCOM Competition Advocate website defines the necessary submission requirements for six categories based on vendor experience and flight-safety criticality (h ttp://www.redstone.army.mil/cgi-bin/casl/index.pl). Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AA, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include document ation such as copy of purchase order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from the previous supplier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that this item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army.
