- EXCEPT AS MODIFIED OR AMPLIFIED IN RFP, THIS ITEM CONTAINS CLASS "C" EXPLOSIVES. DFAR CLAUSE 252.223-7002, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS FOR AMMUNITION AND EXPLOSIVES (MAY 1994) APPLIES. THIS ACQUISITION CONTAINS EXPLOSIVE NAVAL ORDNANCE ITEMS, WHICH REQUIRE SPECIAL SECURITY, SAFETY AND TRANSPORTATION CLAUSES. THE CLAUSES MAY BE FOUND IN SECTION "I". CODE 0242.05 NOTE: PAPER COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE PROVIDED BY THE NAVY. THIS PROCUREMENT IS UNRESTRICTED. THIS ITEM IS AN EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. QUANTITY ? 184 EACH. ITEM DESCRIPTION: NSN: 1377-01-114-2036 (UPCo), 1377-01-215-4821 (Scot) MECHANICAL ACTUATED INITIATOR USED ON VARIOUS AIRCRAFT TO INITIATE CANOPY JETTISON. A SAFETY SURVEY WILL BE REQUIRED. EXPLOSIVE WEIGHT - .000440 LBS EXPLOSIVE CLASS ? 1.4 PRODUCTION LOT TESTING, CONTRACTOR DATA REQUIREMENT LIST AND FOB ORIGIN APPLY. A LIMITED DRAWING PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON THE WEB.
