Description
NA This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to make a sole source purchase of the following Marconi part numbers in support of the Navy Training Network Node: ATM Switch - ASX-200BX/AC (quantity-1), maintenance support of the chassis H/W and S/W - SUPP-S-A (quantity-1), 400 MHZ ATM switch control processor - SCP-P5-400-BX-1 (quantity-1), maintenance support for the SCP - SUPP-S-A (quantity-1), ForeThought Extended Enterprise License - FTA-200-EX (quantity-1), maintenance support for For! eThought ? SUPP-S-A (quantity-1), 1 port SMIR and 3 port MM OC-3 module - NM-4/155IR3MME (quantity-2), maintenance support for the NM-4 module ? SUPP-S-A (quantity-2), 6 port T1 circuit emulation module - NMCE-6/DS1A (quantity-1), and maintenance support for the NMCE module ? SUPP-S-A (quantity-1). Marconi is the only manufacturer of the asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) platform that is compatible with the current system. These items will be acquired utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All items are to be priced FOB Destination. DOD will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database. Registration can be completed by accessing the CCR Web Site at http://www.ccr.gov. A paper registration form may be obtained from the DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at (800) 334-3414.
