- Description
- The Plasma Physics Division of the Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for performance of scientific and technical research and development tasks associated with Laser-Plasma Interaction Research. Specifically, the Laboratory is seeking research, development, and engineering efforts in the following primary task areas: Hardware Design, Fabrication of New Hardware and Modification of Existing Hardware; Maintenance and Repair of Laser-Plasma Facilities; Major Subsystem Management; Complex System Planning, Acquisition and Assembly; Laser-Plasma Engineering Research; Maintenance and Modification of Laser Optical Systems; Target Facility Support efforts; and Engineering and Engineering Research efforts for the Electra Facility. A detailed statement of work, personnel requirements, and contract data requirements will be included in the solicitation file. The anticipated period of performance for any resulting contract will be one base year with four option years. This Solicitation is 100% Set-Aside for Small Business. NRL uses Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue RFPs and amendments to RFPs. This solicitation and any amendments to it will be available via the Internet approximately fifteen (15) days after publication of this announcement at the URL address provided below. Printed copies of this RFP will not be provided. The response date published in this synopsis is the current estimated closing date. The actual closing date for proposals will be stated in the solicitation when issued.
