Description
This is a Notification of Contract Action (NOCA) for an upcoming acquisition of non-developmental items. Using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13, the Navstar GPS Joint Program Office intends to issue a purchase order for the sole source procurement of one (1) Radio Frequency (RF) and one (1) Intermediate Frequency (IF) Miniature Airborne GPS Receiver (MAGR) 2000 and one (1) RF SAASM-based MAGR 2000 (MAGR 2000-S). The MAGR 2000 is a GRAM-based Line Replacement Unit (LRU). The MAGR 2000 PPS-SM (Precise Positioning Service?Security Module)-based GRAM version shall comply with Configuration item (CI)-MAGR 400A and CI-GRAM-400 and shall comply with the latest production configuration being fielded. The MAGR 2000-S version shall comply with CI-MAGR-500 AND CI-GRAM-500. Funding for the SAASM-based GRAM development and integration is not part of this procurement. The LRUs must be qualified to the current standards and specifications prior to delivery. Intended source is Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems Company, El Segundo, CA. Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems Company is the sole manufacturer of the MAGR 2000 and MAGR 2000-S and is the only known company capable of providing the PPSSM and SAASM-based GRAM (integrated into a) MAGR 2000 production requirement within the specified time period.
