- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number RFQ-05-010 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-24. The NAICS code for this solicitation is 423910 and the size standard is 500 employees. The Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Public Debt intends to purchase an annual preventive and repair contract for the Sheridan Bowling Center on behalf of the Armed Forces Retirement Home-Washington, D.C. This solicitation also includes an additional (4) option years to be exercised at the Governments discretion. The period of performance for this contract will be from 10/01/04 thru 09/30/05. STATEMENT OF WORK: Sheridan Bowling Center. 3700 North Capitol Street, Sheridan Building Washington, D.C. 20317-0002 The overall objective of the following work is to maintain the bowling center equipment. That all preventive maintenance, repairs, and factory settings are performed for the proper operation of the following bowling center equipment listed below: Brunswick A-2 Pinsetters( Six Machines) Brunswick 2000 Ball Returns, gutters, and return tracks.(Three machines.) Century 100-D Lane Conditioner. (One machine) Century T.L.C. Lane stripper. (One machine.) Brunswick Anvil Lanes, Approaches, and Pin Decks. (Six each.) Brunswick Luster Kleen Ball Conditioner. (One machine.) Brunswick foul lights. (Three machines.) In addition to the objective listed above the contractor will also be responsible for supplying on hand personnel to support bowling functions ( Bowling Leagues and the AFRH-W Annual member tournament) so that the functions can continue without interruptions or delays. Contractor will be responsible for the following items to complete the objectives listed in this scope of work. 1) The Contractor shall supply supervision, labor, and tools for all repairs, adjustments, and maintenance to the equipment. The Contractor shall inform the COR and CO prior to ordering / replacing any repair parts. 2) All repairs, adjustments, and maintenance are to be done in accordance with the manufactures recommendations. 3) All repair parts used will be replaced with the original equipment manufacture replacement parts as long as the original parts are available. 4) The AFRH-W has an inventory of parts on hand. The contractor will be required to utilize all on hand parts prior to purchasing any additional repair parts until said parts are exhausted. 5) As a means of tracking the inventory of repair parts on hand for AFRH-W the contractor will be responsible for notifying the COR of any parts used from stock so they can be removed from the inventory list and replaced at the governments cost. 6) As the AFRH-W on hand inventory is depleted the contractor will need to maintain an adequate supply of parts on hand to minimize down time and to insure the continued operation of the equipment. The on hand supply of parts will be purchased at the government?s expense. 7) During the league season the contractor will be responsible to have a qualified person on site for each night the league is scheduled to bowl. The time will start from the beginning of practice bowling to the end of the last frame bowled. The league will bowl one or two nights a week depending on the number of teams in the league. The start time of the league is 5:00 pm until 8:30 pm as long as there are no interruptions in play due to equipment failure. 8) The AFRH-W will be holding an annual one-day members tournament. The Contractor will need to have a qualified person on site during the tournament to insure that there are no interruptions during game play. The tournaments date and time will be coordinated with the contractor after award of contract. 9) Contractor will be responsible for making any adjustments and repairs to the lanes and Pinsetters that are discovered as a result of the annual American Bowling Congress Lane Inspection. AFRH-W will notify the contractor of inspection dates and provide a copy of the findings within three business days. All repairs are to be completed within 24 ? 48 hrs. 10) The Contractor shall provide preventative maintenance on a weekly basis to include but not limited to ball return maintenance, pinsetters maintenance, oiling of lanes and striping lanes as needed. 11) The isle way behind the Pinsetters shall be kept cleaned and free from obstacles. The workbench shall be kept clean an all tools, supplies, and repair parts etc. are to be kept in their designated areas. 12) All solvents, oils, lubricants and chemical that are left on site shall be stored in the flammable storage cabinet that is provided in the Pinsetters area. 13) If for any reason the contractor is unable to show up on time for any regular scheduled work the contractor shall supply alternate manpower to perform the task.
