Description
This is a synopsis of a requirement for ship repair. This is request for quotation (RFQ) number HSCG80-04-Q-3FAP77. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336611 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, parts, services, and competence to perform the following for USCGC SMILAX Barge (70018): 1. Preserve transducer hull ring and renew transducer, 2. Protect American Aero crane, 3. Inspect spud wells and liners, 4. Preserve barge construction deck, 5. Preserve underwater body, 6. Preserve freeboard, 7. Provide temporary logistics, 8. Routine drydocking, 9. Inspect and repair stiffeners, 10. Pressure test rub rail, 11. Clean cooling sea water piping, 12. Install fire pump overboard discharge piping, 13. Overhaul facing winches, 14. Inspect various deck fittings, 15. Renew Cathodic protection zinc anodes, and 16. Ultrasonic testing. Performance period is October 4 to 22, 2004. Place of performance is at contractors facility that is no further than 125 nautical miles from Fort Macon NC. RFQ package and Specifications to be available electronically on August 20, 2004. The government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offer: Price and Technically acceptable.
