Description
Boot, Flyers, (3/P) and (8/P). The Boot, Flyers 3/P shall be manufactured IAW MIL-B-27486. The Boot, Flyers 8/P shall be manufactured IAW MIL-B-83277. Quantities for the (3P) are as follows: Base year:1,782 minimum/3,750 maximum OPT I thru IV: 1,668 minimum/3,750 maximum. Quantities for the (8P) are as follows: Base year: 7,380 minimum/19,512 maximum OPT I THRU IV: 6,648 minimum/19,512 maximum. The actual contract quantities will be a combined total, and the Government will place orders as requirements dictate. Destination: Bill and Hold and New Cumberland PA Scheduled delilvery to begin 150 days after date of award. Procurement will be issued on an unrestricted basis and will be evaluated under Best Value procedures, Product demonstration models, Experience/Past Performance, Bill & Hold,Socio Economic, DLA Mentoring and JWOD. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.201(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home. From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from left-hand sidebar. Then choose the register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs prospective vendors must go to the RFP informaiton page and select DSCP Clothing and Textiles as thecommodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitation will be downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free softwear is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html. Gateway Technical assistance is available at admin_support@pgmail.daps.mil. The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes(including what is commonlt referred to as "The Berry Amendment:) impose restrictions on the DOD's acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally Clothing and textile items as defined in DFARS clasue 252.225-7012) and "specialty metals" (As defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exception applies.
