- Description
- The US Department of Agriculture, ARS in Hagerman, ID has a requirement for a air classification system which will separate different components of ground grains e.g. proteins, carbohydrates based upon the density of the particles. Protein content of plant-derived ingredients must be increased if considerable quantities are to be used in trout feeds. The Alpine 50 ATP Classification System is a laboratory scale system that has been used by our research staff and the change to an alternate manufactures product would seriously hinder our research efforts. The system needs to be totally self contained, has a product feeder with variable speed classifier, horizontally mounted radial fan rotor, product collector, bag house for fines, motor starters, minimum throughput of 4 kb/hr & desire of 25 kg/hr & we must be able to compare our existing data generated by the Alpine to future data acquired. A solicitation is not available for this requirement. The USDA ARS intends on negotiating with Hoscokawa Micron Powder Systems.
