- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Center for Whale Research for the office of Northwest Fisheries Science Center, National Marine Fisheries Service located in Seattle, WA. Purpose of proposed contract is for collection, identification and distribution of information on killer whales, particularly J, K, and L pods and also transient and offshore types in the inland (Puget Sound) and coastal waters of the Pacific Ocean from central Vancouver Island to central California. Contractor has collected photo-identification data for killer whales in this region for the past 26 years and maintains photo-ID catalog for this population and has established the coastal sighting network. Contractor has been identified as the only source who can complete work under proposed this contract. This notice may represent the only office notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $100,000.00.
