- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to award a commercial item purchase order for services to replace existing acoustical ceiling tiles in identified laboratory hallways of the Rall Building, SC101, C/D/E Module hallways. Work will include the replacement of the original acoustical ceiling tile, replacement of rusted and damaged ceiling grid, cleaning of dirty ceiling grid and air diffuser grill faces, and disconnection and reconnection of fire protection devices installed in the ceiling tiles including emergency exit signs, sprinkler heads, fire alert speakers, and smoke detectors. The contractor will supply all materials and labor to complete the work in the identified areas. Drawings will be supplied to interested contractors upon request and at the site visit (date to be announced in the Request for Quotation). The work must be completed 90 days from award of the contract. The facility is located at 111 T. W. Alexander Drive, Research Triangle Park NC 27709. This is to be issued under FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) is to be issued on or about 8/20/04 and will be due on or about 9/3/04. A site visit will be conducted during that time. Specific date and time will be included in the RFQ.
