- 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial antenna site use services. The Drug Enforcement Administration [DEA] intends to enter into a non-competitive contract for antenna site services for the operation of a several regional radio communication systems for use by the various field divisions of DEA and other Government entities. The solicitation number is DJDEA-04-C-0020. The North American Industrial Code is 517212. The Primary Service Code is S113. The antenna sites are currently being managed by American Tower Corp. 116 Huntington Ave. Boston, MA 02116 and are located within the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska and US territories. The site services are intended solely for the operation of the current systems composed of existing repeater, receiving and transmission equipment and will utilize current operating locations. From time to time equipment upgrades and/or mission changes may necessitate changes by the government in the geographic locations of these site services as well as equipment additions and /or reductions to improve reception and upgrade performance capabilities. It is anticipated that a sole source contract for these antenna site services will be executed. The period of performance will include a base year and four [4] one [1] year option periods. The performance period is from October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2009. The authority cited for this requirement permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, ?only one responsible source.? This synopsis is for information purposes only. Proposals are to be mailed to the attentions of The Office of Acquisition, Alan Knoepfel, Washington, DC. 20537.
