- THIS SOLICITATION IS AMENDED A FOLLOWS: THE REFERENCE REGARDING THE CERTIFICATION BY JULIE INDUSTRIES FOR CERTIFIED INSTALLERS IS DELETED. THE ESTIMATED SQUARE YARDS OF CARPET FOR INSTALLATION IS CHANGED FROM 2,000 SQ. YDS. TO APPROXIMATELY 2,600 SQ. YDS. A NEW FACILITY, THE ANCHORAGE AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER (ATCT), HAS BEEN INCLUDED IN THE SCHEDULE FOR THIS PROJECT. THE NEW CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF OFFERS IS AUGUST 13, 2004, 11:00 A.M. ALASKA TIME. NO OTHER CHANGES AT THIS TIME. In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administrations Acquisition Management System (AMS) section 3.2.1.3.12, the FAA Alaskan Region is announcing that it has a requirement to contract for removing existing and furnishing and installing carpet tiles and cove base in three (3) of the Alaskan Regions Automated Flight Service Stations (AFSS). The contractor must be a certified installer of the carpet manufacturer, Julie Industries. Certification must be submitted with offer. The solicitation will open July 20, 2004, and closes on August 3, 2004. This requirement is set-aside for Small Businesses. Requests for the solicitation must be in writing to Theresa A. Clark at, FAA, Acquisition Management Branch, AAL-59A, 222 W. 7th Avenue #14, Anchorage, AK 99513, by FAX at 907 271-2326 or email at terry.a.clark@faa.gov. Any questions/comments must also be in writing to the above address, FAX or email and must be received three (3) days prior to the closing date. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
