- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside for small business only. The NAICS Code for this synopsis/solicitation is 334516, Size Standard 500. Solicitation/Purchase Request number F1GPL142051500 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC2001-24, effective 19 July 2004. The Government intends to purchase a custom designed spectral calibration system for the calibration of an Air Force imaging spectrometer. This system must meet stringent spectral, radiometric, and optical requirements. The spectral calibration system must: a. fill a field of view (FOV) of 0.35 mrad x 90 mrad with light, b. completely fill an aperture diameter of 4.6 cm (1.8 in.) with light, c. have a limit of resolution of 1 nm, d. output a spectral radiance of at least 10 Watts/cm2/sr/nm at all wavelengths, e. operate over a 0.4 to 2.5 spectral range, f. be scanable across the entire spectral range with a wavelength accuracy of + 0.2 nm, g. have wavelength reproductibility of + 0.01 nm, and h. be able to interface the system with a computer data acquisition system via an RS232 port or equivalent. The spectral calibration system must meet or exceed all requirements. The desired delivery date is 22 August 2004. FOB: Destination. Inspection and acceptance: Destination.
