Description
This synopsis is for services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only the synopsis. Quotes are requested; however, a writte n solicitation will be issued. The description of the service is to Renovate, Repair or Remodel the Cascade Community Club (known hereafter as CCC), located in Building #2400, off North Division and Bitar on Fort Lewis, Washington. STATEMENT OF WORK FACILITY INFORMATION: The proposed project covers a space that is courtyard sized with an approximation of half a football size field. PROJECT MANAGEMENT: The vendor will provide all labor, equipment and materials, and dispose of all necessary yard waste and materials; Installation of hundreds of planting flowers and a assortment of trees in selected areas; Removing unwanted plant materials, removing trees, shrubs, and turf as necessary, and installation of topsoil, Planting and transplanting foliage in specialty pots Installation of new wood trellises; Installation of wood post and other restoration in cedar hardwood; Installation of accent and river rocks; Installation of water fountain(s), e.g. lining, accessories; etc.; Hauling and disposing of waste (natural and artificial) materials; Sub-grading and preparing ground for landscaping activities (remove weeds, shrubs and level ground with a bobcat); transplanting. A time allocation has been set for 15 days once the project begins; No sales tax will be charged to the federal government for this project. Each potential bidder is requested to schedule a site visit to review for clearer understanding of what the project entails. A basic blue print or drawing is also available for the potential bidders viewing; however, this drawing does not preclude an on-site review. Evaluation factors include past performance and price, with a past performance being more important than price. Proposals are due August 30, 2004, not later than 4:00pm (Pacific Standard Time). Please return quotes with completed representations and certifications along with three professional references (including names, addresses, telephones, and a copy of a payment invoice and or finalized statement of work) indicating vendors most recent past performance utilizing the same type of services.
