- Description
- The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command intends to acquire on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, 500 each, M915 Glider Kits from Freightliner LLC of Portland, OR. This acquisition will upgrade the existing M915 tractor t o the new M915A4 tractor configuration. This kit will use the existing M915's engine and rear bogey assembly, replace the transmission with the Allison automatic 4560, add anti-lock brakes, air conditioning and a Collision Warning System. This is the fin al buyout of M915 FOV Glider Kits. This action modifies the existing Freightliner LLC, M915 Family of Vehicles Contract DAAE07-00-D-S022. Alpha contracting will be used, so a solicitation is not available. Note 22 applies.
