- Description
- The BLM is soliciting for offers for the Farmers Canyon Fuels Reduction Project in Mesa County, Colorado. The project consists of roller chopping an estimated 400 acres. The objective is to reduce hazardous fuels in the treatment area and create a mosaic effect by increasing the crown distance between large trees to at least 3 times the height of the tree, to reduce juvenile trees by 80% and reduce the amount of shrub cover by 40 to 60%, and provide a seed bed for dispersed seed. The project is estimated at below $100,000.00. A prebiid site tour is offered on August 17,2004. Meet at the BLM Grand Junction office at 2815 H Road, Grand Junction, CO 81506, at 9 am. The solicitation will be available on the internet on or about 8-9-04. Offers will be accepted via mail at BLM 2815 H Road, EFO, Grand Junction, CO 81506 or can be faxed to (970)244-3130 or submitted electronically and must be received no later than 9-8-04. This is a total small business set aside (numbered note 1).
