- Description
- The US Navy intends to extend its Navy and Marine Corps Video Teletraining and Distance Learning System contract N00140-00-C-0986 for six months with Applied Global Technologies. NMCI review of the requirement has delayed the development of the follow on procurement. A final decision has been made that NMCI is not prepared to offer the required VTT services at this time. A competitive contract will be the source for this service for the next several years. Due to the time required to solicit proposals, conduct discussions and evaluate proposals, a follow-on contract will not be in place to fulfill the requirement for VTT services before the expiration of contract N00140-00-C-0986 on 30 Sept. 2004. A six-month extension of AGT?s current contract is required to ensure a smooth transition to a new competitive contract. Numbered Note 22 applies.
