Description
NAICS Code: 541990 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Office of National Center for Environmental Assessment intends to issue a sole source fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures (FAR Part 13) to the Gradient Corporation of Cambridge, Massachusettes. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide analysis of underlying basis for performing interspecies inhalation dosimetry between acute and chronic inhalation scenarios for the project titled, "Acute vs. Chronic Inhalation Dosimetry in Interspecies Extrapolation." EPA source research indicates that the Gradient Corporation is the only vendor uniquely qualified to satisfy the Government's requirement due to its knowledge and in-depth understanding of various aspects and issues surrounding the area of acute dosimetry. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting the EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit technical documentation, which if received within 10 calendar days (before August 12, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. EST) of the date of this announcement will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and reference RFQ-OH-04-00129. A determination not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions should be directed to Kimberli Irwin via e-mail at irwin.kimberli@epa.gov; telephone (513) 487-2031; address U.S. EPA, 4411 Montgomery Road, Suite 300, Norwood Ohio 45212; or fax (513) 487-2109.
