Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR F-15 AIRFRAME MOUNTED ACCESSORY DRIVE (AMAD) DEPOT REPAIR/OVERHAUL This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis. The following information is provided to do a Market Survey of Industry to determine potential contractors who have the skills, experience, knowledge, and facilities required to successfully complete the effort described below. OO-ALC, Hill AFB, UT intends to award a depot level overhaul contract to provide complete repair and overhaul services for the F-15 Left Hand (LH) and Right Hand (RH) Airframe Mounted Accessory Drive (AMAD). The contractor shall receive, disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, assemble, test, and paint several different configurations of LH and RH AMADs to restore the units to the latest serviceable configurations. This requires the contractor to have expertise in all aspects of aircraft gearboxes. This includes gears, bearings, air seals, oil seals, oil pumps, dynamic balancing, dimensional inspections, non-destructive inspection, dimensional restoration procedures and performance testing. The dimensional restoration procedures include sleeving, metalizing, welding, cadmium plating, and machining. Overhaul services require specialized equipment unique to the F-15 AMAD. This includes specialized assembly and disassembly tools, repair fixtures, subassembly and component test equipment, and AMAD test facilities. Non-specialized equipment is also needed to properly disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, restore, paint, balance, and test the AMAD. Potential offerors are requested to provide a summary of the capabilities and facilities they have which will allow them to perform the aforementioned F-15 AMAD repair/overhaul. Verification should include a detailed description of similar items past and present that have been successfully repaired/overhauled and a detailed list of equipment to accomplish the required efforts. Any information, which is indicative of the offeror’s capabilities to successfully perform this effort, will be accepted. The government does not intend to contract on the basis of this request or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Release or distribution of your response will be approved by the contracting officer. Interested parties are requested to submit three copies of the aforementioned summary of capabilities and facilities to Lori Lloyd, 6050 Gum Lane, Bldg 1215, Hill AFB, UT 84056-5825 no later than 15 working days after publication of this notice.
